WeatherSeal Roofing was founded in 2018 by Max Steinmetz and Mendy Cohen with a straightforward goal: to bring honesty, quality craftsmanship, and real accountability to the roofing industry.

While working in general construction, Max and Mendy were often called to help homeowners struggling with premature roof failures. They noticed a frustrating pattern: many contractors focus entirely on the "big sell", promoting premium shingles or best-in-the-industry fancy warranties (with all sorts of fine-line exclusions) to win the job, while overlooking the 20+ other components and specific installation methods that actually make a roof reliable.

In reality, most leaks aren’t caused by shingle failure. Rather, they are the result of poor workmanship and inferior materials hidden beneath the surface where you can’t see them.

We built WeatherSeal Roofing on a different philosophy: a roof is only as strong as its weakest link.

While many contractors settle for "standard" flashing or generic fasteners, we are intentional about every material we select - right down to the specific quality and type of the nails we use.
